Jess's Senior Cruise

I thought that I would share this picture with you guys. It's Jessica on her way to the senior cruise. I just can't believe that she is a senior this year. High school has been very hard for her and we are all excited that she is a senior and seems to be finding her place with the help of the running start program. I only wish that she had had an awesome group of friends like I have. You guys are the best. Love ya!!!

We went bowling when Kassy was here. That's Kassy and Shawn. (one of Chris' buddies.)

Then there's Connor. He just wanted to push his stroller around the bowling alley. Thankfully we were like one of 4 people there so he had free reign to the right! He had so much fun! We loved that he could run around!

When I get a new computer I will put up more pictures from my new camera!

These are the fabrics for Nicci's quilt. I wanted to take a picture before I cut it all up.

This is the hardest part I think, cuz if I mess up now, I mess the whole thing up. No fixing it! OK I'm going to go be a big girl and make a quilt!!

If only

The only problem with just blocking of the kitchen, is, well there are a number of problems.

One he loves to be in the kitchen helping us cook. If I had to keep him out, I think we would both go crazy. He is very good at throwing tantrums. I am not kidding, it doesn't seem to matter if I ignore him or comfort him. He still throws tantrums. They are getting a little better. But by the end of the day, I have usually had enough. (Plus add in that I am always super tired from being pregnant and things just escalate.)

Two the opening for our kitchen is like 6 feet or something. I know they make gates that big, but I think he would figure out how to knock it down, he is really good at problem solving, plus it doesn't seem like one that big would be very sturdy. Robert has worked with Josh to teach him to figure things out. Which is good, but can get a little annoying in a 15 month old. I don't always want him to be able to figure it out.

And lastly, if I blocked off the kitchen he would only be able to play in the living room which is not very big. Seriously, with the love seat, chair, entertainment center, computer desk, his book case with toys, and all the other odds and ends we have, there is really not much room to play. He loves to go into the kitchen and bounce his balls and roll his cars and play. He gets bored as it is. I don't even want to imagine what it would be like if I didn't let him play in there. I am even starting to let him play upstairs if he wants. I just have a gate on the bathroom (he has a little too much fun in there) and I don't care what else he gets into. The house is usually a mess, so that is the way life goes.

So I started writing this as a comment to your two comments and decided it was going to be too long. But we are actually getting used to the baby locks. It is now mostly when other people come over. We have already told Heidi (she is Robert's sister and lives in Rigby (10 min away)) about the fridge. She is over enough that we thought she should know. And once Josh learns that something don't open, he usually leaves it alone. So I guess we could take them off, but you never know when he will try to open it again, just to see.

Seriously, I don't know what we were thinking, being two engineers and reproducing. It is not safe!!

Sarah

She's 14! I can't believe it, it hardly seems possible that she can be that old. It seems like only yesterday that Mom brought her home from the hospital... Now she's a teenager (and all that that entails!). She's excited because this is her last year at Cedarcrest and then she will go to the high school next year. She wanted to go to Deception Pass on her birthday to play on the beach (and I use that term loosely because there is no sand, just rocks) and take pictures with her new digital camera. We had a lot of fun. The weather cooperated and it was about 65-70 degrees out by the water and the sun was out!!! It was warm and she had a lot of fun. Then we went back to the house so she could eat birthday cake and open the rest of her presents (we made her wait ALL DAY!!!). I caught her and Jessica horsing around and was able to get a quick picture.

Jess has a senior cruise coming up on Saturday and she found a really cute dress today for it so I'll have to post a picture of her if I can catch her before she leaves for the fun.

Hope you guys are well. I'll post more later.

Update

I just thought I would put a little update up. Things are going really well. I have been working on my quilt and have the top all finished. Today I went and got the batting and backing. But I realized that I need to get a little more for the edging. As soon as I get it finished I will put pictures up. It is turning out pretty good so far. Especually considering it is my first attemt at quilting, well if you don't count the pillow thing I did when I was like 13.

Have I told you Josh has learned how to open the fridge. Let me tell you, it is annouying. We put a lock on it finally and it has taken Robert and I all weekend to remember that it is on there. I am supprised that we haven't ripped it off yet. Now we just need to put locks on the top drawers in the kitchen. We haven't worried too much about them, because Josh isn't tall enough to actually see in them. But being the problem solver that he is, he has learned he can push my step stool over to them and get in them very well. The only problem is in some of them are knifes and things he could hurt himself on. And then we will have to learn that the locks are on those drawers. Child-proofing is just so much fun!!!

So Josh woke up from his nap the other day and his hair was crazy, I tried to get a picture of it,

This is the best that I could get. He had three horns poking up. It was pretty funny to see. I don't know what he did in his sleep, but he must have been all over the place. Well, I just thought you would enjoy a picture.

Business

I thinking, with an idea started from Nicci, that I'm going to start my own online business. I'm going to make baby blankets and aprons and some other things, with my friend Mychel. We can do it anywhere in the world. And make a little extra profit while we're raising our babies. What do you girls think?
What else should I be making? What do think would sale?

Time Out for Women!

Congratulations NICCI!!

November 24!! That isn't very long for you to get up here and visit!! :)

Nicci, are you going to live in the dorms or with Erika?

Of course we will say an extra prayer for them and their families. I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't believe it when people do that. It makes me sick!

Okay on to sometime a little lighter...Time Out for Women.
It was AMAZING!!
First, our little church bookstore, the one and only, had a giveaway! Guess who won?!! Yup me!! I won Hilary Weeks (she's a church singer) book about the background behind some of her songs! (She writes her own songs.) She was AWESOME!

You guys know I don't cry very often, Hilary made me cry! With her song, If I Only Had One More... it made me realize how much I take for granted. I'm going to try and find the lyrics for the next post.

I'm going to share some of the main points from all the talks. They were all so wonderful and I highly recommend it to EVERYONE!

Questions can be powerful. What makes more of an impact... I love you versus Why am I so blessed to have you? You look great vs Have you lost weight?
Our beliefs are embedded in the questions we ask ourself. Do I love me? Am I fat?
Two most important questions we can ask ourselves are...
What Beholdest Thou? meaning 'What do you see?' What emotionally, physically, and spiritually, do you see?
2. What do you want out of it? This can even be as simple as deciding where to go on vacation. Your question shouldn't be 'Where do you want to go?' It should be What do you want to get out of it? Then plan your vacation from there. It will be a much better time for your family.

You can put this in your pocket for all those times you guys debate over the church! (haha haha!) But it's an interesting fact. No other organization (church, business, government, etc) of people has as much leadership with WOMEN in the world! (I think the most common thing that I've heard bad about the church is that it doesn't involve women. Now stick that in your bonnet and suck it!)

Eve is the Mother of all living things BEFORE she bore a child. That's the start of our church beliefs.

Mother guilt=bad. Do you feel guilty when it snows? Then why would you feel guilty over things you can't control like other people's actions.

If you start with high difficulty, you get higher scores even if you mess up. So what if we had degrees of difficulty on our life. We don't get to see the degree of difficulty on our or other people's life. We can't judge.

Do caterpillars know they are going to become a butterfly, or does God want to surprise them? (Do we know what we are going to be or is God going to surprise us?)

OK so I think that's enough for right now. If you want more thoughts, let me know. I have 1.5 day left! :)

Julie- are you craving anything with this one?

This Week

What a crazy week this has been! I found out that I go to the academy November 24!!! Yeah for going to the academy in the winter (because we all know how much I love the cold/wet... NOT!) I can't complain too loudly though because I'll graduate April 9, before the heat sets in so... Not a bad deal really when ya think about it. Then I worked at a child passenger safety booth today at Babies R Us (it's still hard to believe I get paid to do that :o) ) It was crazy busy in there. Who knew that so many people went to that store on a sunny Saturday afternoon! It was a lot of fun though...

Krista, how was Time Out for Women? It sounded like so much fun! I wish I could have gone with you.

So normally I wouldn't ask this of you guys but this particular incident hit a little close to home so... If you have been following the news from here lately, on Tuesday a "mentally ill" man went on a rampage and killed six people and injured others. One of the six killed was a Skagit County Sheriff's Deputy, who was also a friend and former academy classmate of one of the guys I work with. Also, one of the injured is a Washington State Patrol Trooper friend of mine. So needless to say this past week has been a bad one for our law enforcement community. I'm asking if you could add in an extra prayer for them and their loved ones.

Thanks! You guys are the best. Hope this week gone well for both of you.

Love ya!!!!!

Aimee

Aimee texted me last night. They still don't have a computer so that's why she isn't on here.

She thought she was 8 or 9 weeks along...she had her first appointment and found out that she is 12!! So she's already at the beginning of her second trimester!

She was so excited. I don't think she enjoys being pregnant as much as I did. (Well except the whole barfing thing.)

I just wanted to update you guys on her.

I'm going to Time Out For Women right now! It's sooo fun! When it comes to Seattle, you girls need to go!

Once again

So yesterday I had my 24 week appointment and we had a sex check ultrasound done. Once again they say that it is going to be a girl. So I feel very good about that now. So they doctor says that every thing seems good. Her heart beat was in the 140's and I am measuring right on. It was nice to hear that.

So Krista, I was reading your blog and noticed that you said that you had to have the stroller, are you trying to make an anouncement??? The stroller that I want is a graco duo glider. I think that it should work really well. But I am sure that we will end up getting more than one double stroller, considering we have 4 single strolers and a bike trailer.

Well, I just thought that I would update you on my doctors appointment.

Hello chicas!

I have a question for you guys...actually two.

When you sign in, can you see all three of my blogs? Or just our blog.

And do you guys read those other blogs on the side?

Oh make it three...I'm going to do another giveaway on my blog but I'm open for ideas. If you guys were to play, (hint, hint) what would you want?

So nothing much going on here in Waggoner world. Connor is FINALLY pulling himself up on the couch and stuff. It's so nice to actually see him heading in the right direction. But now he can reach the DVD player so Chris gets upset when he turns off his movies but I just sit and laugh cuz he wants him to walk sooo bad. I'm just waiting patiently!! (Actually thinking about tying him down but whatever!!)

Well that's all for right now...I gotta run to Costco!

How's everyone else?

The end of traveling as we know it.

This summer has been one of many travels. We decided to try and see all of our family this summer since I will be in no condition to travel around Thanksgiving and Christmas. So I figure we won't be going anywhere until after winter is over.

Well, We just got back from a trip to Utah. We went down for Labor Day weekend. It was a lot of fun. My dad and his siblings were having a family reunion so we were able to see a lot of family. All of my sisters came as well. Steph started another semester of college. She is a Junior now. It is prett crazy. I must be getting old.

Josh had a lot of fun playing with everyone. I don't have all the pictures from this weekend because my mom took most of them, and I didn't get them from her. But she said she would send them. We stayed at my uncle's, which was fun because they had some little kittens. Josh thought they were pretty cool. He kept calling them dogs though, we couldn't get him to even think about saying kitty. He always wanted to hold them. The only think he didn't like about them was when they followed him around, he would get scared when he turned around and they were there. It was pretty funny to watch. He also found out that they don't like to be pulled around by their tails. He only did that once.

It was so much fun to see Josh play with his little cousin Nathan. When we saw them a few weeks ago, Josh didn't want to have anything to do with him. But this time, He would wave and get really happy when he would see him. It was really cute, Josh kept giving Nathan hugs. Nathan is only 8 1/2 months so sometimes his hugs were more like tackles than hugs, we got pictures of both. So the first picture is the tackle and the second one is when we asked Josh to give Nathan a hug.

It was fun to watch them try and learn to share. My uncle has one of the flinstones cars and they both thought that it was pretty fun to play in. They also both wanted to play with the ball. Here Josh is taking the ball from Nathan. Luckly they are both pretty easy going and neither one really cared when the other took something.

My Dad really had fun playing with his two boys. He obviously could play better with Josh because he is walking and 6 months older than Nathan. And I must admit that I really really enjoyed watching my dad play with Josh. It made me very happy. I just wish we lived closer so that they could play more often and develop a really good relationship. But maybe someday.

Well, I am sure I have mentioned before how much Josh enjoys playing with water. Well, my dad showed Josh the joys of a hose. We were at my Grandparents house after church on Sunday and They had a hose out. So my dad turns it on and Josh thinks it is great. My mom has all the pictures from him playing in the water, but Andrew took some videos of it. In this first one he is just playing in the water.

In this second one he has discovered that he can drink from it. I am pretty sure he figured it out himself. What is really funny is that later, he started to blow bubbles into the water that was comming out. When he found the hose again later, he picked it up and started to blow into the hose again, which pressurized the hose and water started to come out. He thought that was pretty cool. He got so wet, we took his pants off and I literaly was able to ring them out. So here is a little clip of him drinking.

So those are the highlights from this weekend. How is everything going with all of you? Krista we haven't heard from you in a while. What is new. Also does anyone have any ideas for lunches and snacks for 15 month olds. I hate trying to figure out lunch for me and now I have to do two of them. So any new ideas would be great. Thanks.

Well I htink that about wraps this up. Sorry that it ended up being so long. I hope you enjoy it.

Troll

Yup... we finally did it. We went and saw the Troll that lives under the Freemont Bridge! We've lived here for almost 18 years now and have never gone to see the troll. So mom and my sisters
and I trooped down to Freemont in the pouring rain today to see an ugly troll. We got lucky and there were several other familes there taking pictures so we all traded picture taking favors! It was a lot of fun, even though it was a little wet!
Hope all of you are doing well and I'll do my best to get on here and update you more often! Love ya!!!!!

Catch up.

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been doing much on the blog. Things have been busy. We went to a family reunion for Robert's family. It was a lot of fun. I actually had the chance to meet his two older brothers that I hadn't meet yet. He has 4 brothers and 2 sisters and I had only meet 2 brothers and 2 sisters. His oldest brother lives in The Middle East with his wife and 2 kids. His second oldest brother lives in Oklahoma (for now) with is wife and 6 kids.

We had a lot of fun. There was 14 adults and 13 kids in two houses. My 2 favorite activities were; Saturday morning when we left all the kids with babysitters and the parents went to the temple together. It was very neat to be able to be in the same session with all of Robert's family. My other favorite activity was on Monday afternoon when the guys took all the kids and the ladies were able to have an afternoon with peace and quite. We also had chocolate and made bracelets and had pedicures.

A lot of pictures were taken, but not by me. Robert's dad and sister are both armature photographers, so they took a lot of pictures and are going to send us all copies. So when I get some pictures, I will post some for you all.

Lets see what else is going on. I have been doing really well with this pregnancy. I am starting to show, so most of the ward figured out that I was pregnant yesterday. But I guess sense I am 5 months it is about time that people learned. I think that Josh is starting to notice that something is different. I don't carry him around as much because it hurts my hips. I don't think he likes it very much. He has been throwing a lot more tantrums lately. It has been SO much fun. OK not really. He is really good at throwing tantrums. I am not sure were he learned it from. But now we get to figure out how to teach him that they don't work.
We let Josh go out and play on our little patio and this is what he looked like when he came in.
One of his new favorite things to do is to take Robert's tie and play with it. He loves to put it on, but he also loves to just pull it behind him and watch it follow him. He is so cute to watch. He does it almost every Sunday.
A couple of weeks ago my friend invited me to go with them to her in-laws to pick raspberries. It was a lot of fun.

Well I think that is about all that is going on here.

Krista how are things going with Conor and his physical therapy? Is he getting any closer to crawling or walking?

He's too cute

How cute is he!!! This is Jayden and he belongs to a
friend of my moms. He is four weeks old! His
mommy had to go to the doctor the other day and left him with me and mom. He was so good, he never cried during the hour and a half that we had him. I get a kick out of his red hair! You'll never believe it but he was 10 lbs 2 oz when he was born (no, I'm not joking)!!! He now weighs a little over 11 lbs. He's like a really fat jelly bean. I just thought I'd share him with you girlies. That way all three of you can be greatful that you had/are having small babies!

Tuesday, August 12, 2008

Hello girlies!

I just wanted to share the news with you guys...Aimee is el prego!
She has a doctor's appointment September 3 to see how far along she is. She isn't feeling too hot right now but not totally sick.
She was totally shocked! (If you remember when we hung out, she wanted to wait a couple years to have another.) She is okay with it now and is starting to get excited.
She doesn't have a computer yet. She uses her mom's but uses it for pictures, not internet. So I just wanted to let you girlies know, officially.
I can't wait to hear about how far she is! I'm sooo excited for the two of u prego girls!

Julie when are you due?

The Zoo

So these are two of the cutest little girls ever. I have been watching them since the oldest one was about 3 months old (They have a regular sitter that watches them on weekdays but I get them when she can't or nights/weekends is their parents go out). The Sophie is 4 and Ava is 2 and I decided that since I'll be busy with the academy soon I would take them to the zoo. I was a little nervous at first because I picked them up Wednesday morning and they fought in the car almost all the way there but we got there and really had a blast. Sophie wanted to see the monkeys (hence the picture of all of us with a gorilla) so we saw all of the monkey/apes/gorillas. I call them all monkeys but she had to correct me, she is too smart for her own good. All Ava could talk about was the tiger and we spent almost 15 minutes looking at one tiger laying out in the sun. She kept calling it, trying to get it to come and see her. It was too cute. Well, that was my week. My work week starts tomorrow so wish me luck! It's been too nice this week to want to work.

80% Sure it's a...

Very flexible little baby.

Today I had my 20 week appointment. It went really well. The baby didn't want to help out too much so it spent much of the Ultra sound with its legs up over it's head and holding onto its' feet. It was pretty funny to see. Here or some pictures of it. I thought it was great. And the baby didn't even care when the ultra sound lady would thump and push my belly to try and get it to move so she could see the things she needed to. But this little baby was very comfortable and didn't want to be bothered.

We had wonderful news and found out that the baby is very healthy. It is in the 26th percentile for size. So a little small, but still just fine. It was nice to find out that the baby is doing really well and growing great.

I have been doing pretty well. I have only gained 1 pound in the last 2 months. For some of that I think I was still losing a little. But it was nice to hear that I had gained a little. I am actually starting to show a little. Which seems really early because with Josh I didn't start showing until about 6 months. And I must not be eating enough because the baby is growing well and I haven't gained that much, but that is ok. I am also a little busier this time than I was with Josh.

So last night I went to a Pampered Chef party, it was so much fun, it was also really nice to get out of the house and not have to put Josh to bed. That was something I really enjoyed. There are a lot of things that I want, but they will have to wait a little. It is always nice to have a wish list.

Well I think that about covers what I have been up too. I hope every thing is going well with all of you. Hope to hear from you all soon.

Oh wait, I forgot to tell you, the technician said that she was 80% sure the baby is a girl. I know you have all been waiting to hear that.

How was your guys weekend?

Chris was hunting so I sat at home. I really needed to clean and stuff but instead I played on the computer and with Connor! Oh Well!!

What did you do?
