Hi!
Hi girls! Sorry it's been awhile. There is not a whole lot going on. I bought a new car right before Christmas. It's an 06 Toyota 4Runner and I absolutely love it! I tried to upload a photo but my computer is being stubborn today so... It's silver so it hides the dirt which is nice because I am horrible about washing my car. I got the one with the leather interior which I was greatful for because Beth spilled her hot chocolate on the seat the day after I bought it and it wiped right up! She is a lucky girl!!! :o) It looks like I won't be going to the academy until February or March now... I had to go and get pneumonia which meant that I couldn't go to the January academy. It's okay though because now maybe it'll be a little warmer outside. I was bummed at first but then I had to remember that the Lord has a plan so I'm trusting that He knows what He is doing; especially since my Chief was not happy that I got sick. Krista, to answer your question, I have not been going to church. I wish you guys were here cause then I might go with you. Anyway, I should get back to work. Love you!!!

SO ...
So girls...HI!!
I've been so bad about writing on this blog. I write on the other one but that doesn't count.
So an update on Aimee....she had another ultrasound on Thursday. The placenta moved to the right place now!! So she can deliver normal now. Baby boy is healthy. Tyson is still sticking around. So has another ultrasound to check on the placenta again in february. She is sooo excited to have another baby!
Chris and I are still trying to have a baby. It's so frustrating. I bought a computer program to help track my cycle so I can SEE when I am fertile and all that jazz. I just want Connor to have a sibling...at this point...one more would be great! We wanted 5 or 6 but it doesn't look like that's happen in this life.
Thank goodness we know about the Gospel and know that we can have babies in Heaven.
Speaking of church....what church are you going to Nicci? I wish I was there and I would drag you to church with me. I know you loved it! You just gotta look past the drama queens like Marie!!
Not much else going on here...it's still in the negatives around here. -24 today....but tomorrow our high is 5!!!! And Tuesday 20 and snow!! I just hope it warms up. I don't car about the snow anymore!
Well Connor is now playing with a roll of toliet paper...gotta go before I have to throw the whole thing away!!

Question
Is this blog a private blog now? I was just noticing that it doesn't update when a new post is posted. I don't care either way. I was just wondering.
Thanks.
Julie
Thanks.

Sorry
So sorry it has been so long since I have posted here. For some reason this blog hasn't been updating on my blog. I didn't realize that there were more posts. So that is why I haven't been commenting. Nicci, sorry you didn't make the academy, but it is nice that you can just focus on your last class. You are probably all done with it now. I hope you did well. Krista, I am sorry for the drama you had to deal with over Thanksgiving. I hope that things weren't as bad as you thought they would be. I don't think that I would be able to handle it very well. You are braver than I am.
So to catch you up on my life. Things have been going well. I have 9 days until my due date. But we have decided with my doctor that we will induce on the 18th so that I will be home before Christmas. Which will be very nice. Last week at my Doctor's appointment, I was already 2 cm dilated and 75% effaced. So it should be a problem to be included. I just got back from my appointment. I was at almost 3 cm and he said pretty much all thinned and the bag was bulging. So we will see. I did have him strip my membranes. He thinks that I could go into labor any time. But that is what they said with Josh and it was two days later. I have been having a fair number of contractions for a while, but nothing hard or consistent.
I am ready for this baby to be here. Not that this pregnancy has lasted very long. It has gone by so fast, but I am ready to have my body at least kind of back to myself. I will still be nursing, so I won't have total control, but I will be a lot closer. It will also be nice to not be so exhausted all the time. I do understand that for a little while I will still be tired because I won't be sleeping very much. But I can handle that tired. I am tired of my body just not having the energy to do what I want it to do. I am also just really excited to be able to see what she looks like and to be able to hold here. It will be so nice.
I am all ready for her. I have all the things I need for the next few months, well, we do still need to by a double stroller. We decided to wait a little longer because the chances of me needing it in January are pretty slim. I have even washed most of the little things that I will need for her when she comes home from the hospital. I haven't done all the washing I need to yet, just in case. We are really pretty sure that she is a girl, but they can never be sure about girls. So I want to have things able to be returned if needed.
Well, I know I have a lot more to catch you up on, but life is getting in the way, so I will try later.

Hi!
Hey there! It's been awhile so I thought maybe I should get on here and update you guys. I guess I'll go in order of events so...
Sierra the puppy is digging holes in the yard, and not just little ones. And is she smart enough so stop when she gets caught? Oh no, she digs faster! And recently she has discovered that if she goes in to the woods, she can dig and not get caught because I can't see her. I want to know whose idea it was to get another dog becuase it couldn't have been mine. She has her good moments but she has more bad moments, I'm hoping it's a puppy faze and it will go away quickly.
So, I went down to the academy for yet another physical fitness test and failed the sprint by ONE second. I was so mad at myself. Failing the sprint means that I don't get to go to the academy that starts this week, rather I get to go back in January to take the test all over again and hopefully get into the January academy. But I'll take the test as the last alternate which means that six people have to fail in order for me to get in to that academy. But if that many don't fail, then I get to go to the academy in February. After being mad at myself (and my chief being very angry with me), I'm starting to see failing as a blessing because I really wanted to finish my last class for my BA and now I get to. The class is done in two weeks but if I had passed the physical I would have had to go to the academy classes and do all of that homework plus the homework for my last online class... if any of that made sense.
The good news is that I am now a full time employee working 40 hours a week! Right now I still work in the office doing admin stuff like filing and answering the phones but starting December 1 I go to night shift. Yea!!! I'm excited for this because I get to go out with my training officer and work the road, write reports, and learn more cop stuff.
I think that's about it. Just work and the puppy and school. How are you guys doing? All ready for the holidays?
Love ya!

Blogging question
I'm sorry I haven't blogged on this blog for a while. I have had a hard time coming up with things to write about here. Not a whole lot has been going on for me. Especially since I have been sick. But things are good here. I am just keeping busy with Josh running all around. I am also busy trying to get things ready for the baby. I can't believe how much faster the time goes by with the second one. There are only about 5 weeks left. But I think we have pretty much everything. And the cradle just arrived today, so I am pretty excited. I don't think we will put it together until after Thanksgiving because of the space issues in apartments. For those of you who keep asking, the name we have thought about is LillyAnn Potter. Do kind of the same thing as my mom and I's names are. We will probably just call her Lilly. If it ends up being a boy, I really like Christopher Gary Potter. Robert's Dad's name is Gary, so I want to use it as a middle name. And I just like Christopher. Though I have also thought of Nickolas Gary.
So anyways. Krista I have a question for you and I figured this would be a good place to ask it. I was wondering if you knew where I could go to get a tracker for my blog. I would like to see who is actually visiting my blog. If you could let me know that would be great thanks.

Hi!
Hey there! So this past week has been a combination of busy, stressful, and overwhelming... all at the same time. On Monday I read in the local newspaper that the city I work for was making some pretty big budget cuts and would be laying three people off. So I worry because budget cuts means that the city may not hire the two more officers that it needs. Then Tuesday my commander calls me to tell me that I have to meet with my chief on thursday. Seriously, they make me wait TWO WHOLE DAYS to see if I am still going to be hired full time. But I cowgirl up and wait like a big girl (it was hard!!) and go to my meeting with the chief on Thursday, where he procedes to tell me how sorry he is about my job. Me, the eternal optimist (NOT) smiles and nods and then he starts laughing and hands me my hire paperwork!!! Yea, I still get a job! So now I have to take another physical fitness test on the 12 and if I pass (which I will) I report to the academy on the 25 of November.
I have most of my gear already. I had to go down to the uniform store in Seattle on Friday, where I tried on more clothes in 2 hours then I have in the last 3 years. You all know that I am not a shopper so by the time I was done I never wanted to try on another piece of clothing or equipment for at least a year. I can't complain too much though because I will probably never have to do that again. Once you do it they store all of it in a computer so that if I ever need anything else I just have to call them and they look it up and send it to me. How cool is that!!! If only every store could do that for me. :o)
I'll try to be better about posting... Some days I just get lazy though. ;o) Love ya!!!

Pictures
So I said that I would put the pictures on. So here they are.
I tried to use a different patern for each color. I found the multi color fabric first and used it to match the other colors. I am very excited. It turned out better than I thought it would. It is my first attemt at quilting. I know it isn't a hard patern. But it was fun. For the quilting, I first went along the squares, then I went diagonally through the squares. There are big X's using four squares. It turned out pretty good. My lines weren't as straight as I would have liked. But like I said, it was my first attemt. I am sure I will get better.

Finished!!!!
Today I finally finished my quilt. I haven't had a chance to take pictures yet, but I wanted to let you know that I am finally done. It took forever for me to get the binding stiched on. My hand has started to go numb when I am doing projects, so I can't do much at a time.
I will post pictures soon.

Complete!!!
I am so excited. I have finished the baby afghan that I have been working on. My goal was to finish both the quilt and afghan by my birthday. I was able to actually finish one by my birthday. I am so excited, it turned out so cute. I have even taken some pictures of it.
Just in case you can't tale, the colors are purple, green, and pink. They all have the little strip of silver in the yarn. So it is kind of shimmery. Have I mentioned that it is way cute. I am so excited. I love finishing them. This is like my 9 one or something, and every time I get so excited to see the finished product. Though I do usually use different colors, so they are all different.
I am almost done with the quilt, I just need to finish the quilting and then put the edging on it. I hope to finish it in the next few weeks, but I can only work on it when Josh is sleeping and he hasn't been doing very well with his naps lately so, hopefully soon. This is a picture of the top of the quilt. This is before I sewed them together. I took it to send to my mom and get her opinion of the placement of the different squares. When I am all done, I will get some more close up pictures of each square so that you can see them better. But it give you an idea of what I am working on.
As for a new question, What is your all time favorite meal to eat? I mean full meal. And no you don't have to cook it or buy it, it will just appear.

Song
So it's not often that I hear a song and immediately have to share it but... I just heard this song and knew that I had to share it with you guys because it has to do with the importance of being a woman and a mom at the same time. So I heard it and thought of you both because of what great moms you are.
The artist is Clint Black and the song title is The Strong One
No blaming me if you cry! :o)
I made mom cry when she listened to it
Love ya!

Hi!
Hi guys! Sorry that it has been so long. I started back to school and have been trying to be really good about getting my homework done early. In theory it was supposed to work perfectly, but in reality I'm still a procrastinator! Thankfully this is my last class and then I will officially be done and have a BA. Thank goodness!!! My class is called Crime in America and it is online which is both good and bad. I like it because I can do my homework in my pj's. The bad part is that I keep putting off assignments... like now. :o) The class is okay, it is just a lot of independent research and paper writing. The assignment I'm working on now is three pages long so far and I'm only a quarter of the way done. Yikes. Okay, I need to get back to the paper so this will be a short post since you guys aren't here to help me with my homework.
Oh... I almost forgot my question!!! Since we were going with a school theme this round I'll complete with:
What do you think is the funniest prank we ever pulled in school?
Krista, remember when you spit in Mr. Guards coffee cup when he left the room and then he came back in and finished drinking it!

Aimee Update
Aimee Update~
I texted her today.
*She is at the "I just wanna sleep 24 hours a day" stage.
*She is 16 weeks.
*She had an ultrasound a few weeks ago to see if things were good.
*The tech said they are leaning towards a boy but it's too soon to tell.
*She has an ultrasound in 5 weeks for the actual sex of the baby.
*Payton has started a new habit...biting people. She doesn't know how to stop it.
So there you have it!
Now on to a new question... What was your favorite slumber party we had?
