Hi!

Hey there! So this past week has been a combination of busy, stressful, and overwhelming... all at the same time. On Monday I read in the local newspaper that the city I work for was making some pretty big budget cuts and would be laying three people off. So I worry because budget cuts means that the city may not hire the two more officers that it needs. Then Tuesday my commander calls me to tell me that I have to meet with my chief on thursday. Seriously, they make me wait TWO WHOLE DAYS to see if I am still going to be hired full time. But I cowgirl up and wait like a big girl (it was hard!!) and go to my meeting with the chief on Thursday, where he procedes to tell me how sorry he is about my job. Me, the eternal optimist (NOT) smiles and nods and then he starts laughing and hands me my hire paperwork!!! Yea, I still get a job! So now I have to take another physical fitness test on the 12 and if I pass (which I will) I report to the academy on the 25 of November.

I have most of my gear already. I had to go down to the uniform store in Seattle on Friday, where I tried on more clothes in 2 hours then I have in the last 3 years. You all know that I am not a shopper so by the time I was done I never wanted to try on another piece of clothing or equipment for at least a year. I can't complain too much though because I will probably never have to do that again. Once you do it they store all of it in a computer so that if I ever need anything else I just have to call them and they look it up and send it to me. How cool is that!!! If only every store could do that for me. :o)

I'll try to be better about posting... Some days I just get lazy though. ;o) Love ya!!!

It is good to hear from you. I have been wondering how you are. I am glad to hear that you will get the job. That must have been a pretty stressfull few days. I would hate it. Good luck on your physical fitness test.

I totally understand about shopping. I really struggle with it. I generally only go if I go with some of my family, because they find better things for me than I do. I am actually struggling getting baby girl clothes. It was much easier for me to shop for Josh. But I guess I need to learn.
